The Smolt Feeder is a precise smolt feeding system.
The BoPil Smolt Feeder is designed for advanced smolt and post-smolt production, allowing for the feeding of very small amounts as frequently as desired. The increased size of the smolt necessitates precise feeding to control feed costs and manage the biofilters in the RAS system.
All Smolt Feeders are custom-made and tailored to the size and shape of the tanks. The feeder is designed to dispense feed in accordance with the tank volume—for example, feed is dispensed along the outer edge of the tank and in smaller amounts toward the center.
The main body is made of stainless steel with no sharp edges. The conical shape with very steep walls ensures that no old feed remains in the container. The feed falls directly into the auger chute, where a 24V motor is mounted directly at the end of the auger. Ideal for your fish farm.
A frequency-controlled 24V motor activates the Smolt Feeder, allowing for adjustment of the RPM. The feeder dispenses feed at set intervals of 5, 8, or 10 seconds, depending on feeding requirements. The intervals between feedings are automatically calculated by the PC system.
