Optimal feeding for better milk production
With MamaDos, the sows are registered in a central feeding computer, which uses feed curves and activity sensors to control each sow’s feed intake individually.
The activity sensor sends a signal to the feed computer if the sow wants more feed and simultaneously checks whether she has finished eating. This encourages the sow to eat more, thereby increasing milk production.
Depending on a good start in life
Piglets depend on a good start in life, which is why sows must be provided with sufficient energy to produce the right amount and composition of milk. Colostrum, in particular, provides piglets with the best conditions for survival and healthy growth.
Depending on her condition, the sow may lose several millimeters of backfat throughout the lactation period. With MamaDos, you can actively support the sow by maintaining her body condition in the farrowing pen. If you combine MamaDos with ESF, you’ll be able to manage the sow’s body condition optimally via OmniFeed Pro.
