Lasse Kristensen’s ActiveHorse facility is now 10 years old and continues to meet all of Lasse’s expectations for the project. The facility at Thommysminde, near Jelling, consists of a concentrated feed station with selection, two roughage stations, drinking troughs, etc., and is currently home to both ponies for therapeutic riding and sport horses for vaulting, dressage, and show jumping.
"Over the years, we've had too many problems with tendon injuries, colic, and so on. So I'd like to make my horse management more efficient—reduce labor hours, improve horse welfare, and see if we can prevent various injuries."
Lasse, a trained physiologist specializing in tendons, has worked with horses his entire life. At Thommysminde, physical therapy is integrated with the equestrian center, which is precisely why the business side of the project was also a key focus.
