ESF at Flintskovgaard

Brian Høj Johansen’s Transponder barn, equipped with the Bopil ESF 6, had been in operation for nearly 20 years as of January 2021. For Brian Høj Johansen, it was therefore a natural decision to replace the existing stations with the latest technology.

At Flintskovgaard, Brian Høj Johansen keeps his sows in large groups, where transponders are used to sort them out. Like the well-known ESF 6 stations, the ESF 8 XL features a swiveling trough and an exit gate. The ESF 8 XL stations have a high capacity and are equipped with a sensor that quickly detects when a sow has left the station, making them particularly well-suited for large groups undergoing culling.
