MamaDos weans 14.0 piglets

Johan Zier of the Nakskov herd has achieved an impressive weaning rate of 14.0 piglets using MamaDos from BoPil. The MamaDos system stimulates the sow to increase milk production by encouraging her to feed more frequently.

"MamaDos encourages sows to eat more—milk production increases and the piglets get the best start in life," says Johan Zier. The system has led to a significant improvement in litter performance.

MamaDos automatically dispenses wet feed to the sow in the farrowing pen, ensuring she always has fresh feed available. This increases the sow’s feed intake and, consequently, her milk production during the lactation period.
