Bopil SpotStrø Lighting System

Fully automatic, easy bedding solution

With SpotStrø, you get a fully automated solution that distributes bedding and enrichment materials up to 4–5 cm in length to your pigs as often as you like. The result is time savings and peace of mind, with clear documentation of the bedding distribution.

The system can be combined with the SpotMix multi-phase feeding system or used as a stand-alone system. Bedding can be distributed up to 300 meters in all directions using air.

SpotStrø removes up to 80% of dust using the suction function in the bale shredder. The system is easy to operate and fully computer-controlled.

Use your own straw to save significantly on materials. Typically, a bedding rotation of three times a day is chosen to keep the straw fresh.

It is easy to exclude pens that are empty or where the number of animals needs to be reduced. Uses the same control platform as BoPil’s feeding system.

Fire protection and monitoring are part of the system. A magazine holding up to 8 bales can be added as an option to minimize human intervention.

The straw is spread automatically, while all information regarding quantity and placement is logged in the system. This ensures full traceability and documentation.

SpotStrø can be supplied with its own piping system or integrated into existing SpotMix piping. The feed is distributed over a distance of up to 300 meters in all directions.

Asbjørn Kaad from Tandsgaard converted his farm to organic finishing pig production in 2018 and has benefited greatly from SpotStrø from BoPil.

Computer-controlled operation ensures that the spreading process runs exactly according to plan and that all changes are automatically logged in the system for complete documentation.
